Amanda outdoors with a dog
Meet Amanda

Practical training for real dogs and real owners.

Amanda has been professionally training dogs since 2018, but her interest in dog behavior started much closer to home. After taking on a very large, very reactive dog who desperately needed help, she saw firsthand just how much thoughtful, consistent training could change both a dog's life and the life of the person on the other end of the leash.

That experience turned into a passion for helping other dogs and their people build the same kind of trust, communication, and confidence.

After moving to Colorado, Amanda began fostering dogs with a wide variety of behavioral and training needs. Working hands-on with different breeds, personalities, and challenges gave her invaluable experience—and has helped 13 foster dogs find their forever homes along the way.

Amanda's approach to training is practical, individualized, and built for real life. She believes training should do more than create a dog who can perform commands. It should give dogs the skills and confidence to experience more of the world with their people—whether that's enjoying a brewery patio, exploring a Colorado trail, walking through a busy neighborhood, or simply learning how to settle at home.

That's the idea behind Roam & Recall: training that helps you build a dog you can actually do life with.

When she isn't training client dogs, Amanda can usually be found working with her own dogs, exploring Colorado, or practicing agility with her Border Collie.
